He added that in recent years the state has a significant reduction in maternal and child mortality was attributed to adequate ante and postnatal care and continuous improvement of government public health facilities in the continuous re-training of medical personnel and the provision of modern equipment, including regular grids.

HOFOWEM is a foundation created with the intention of increasing the welfare of widows, children and older women.

In the event, held at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium Alausa, Ikeja, a total of about 230 pregnant women, they received complete delivery packages including nurseries and mother, sanitary napkins, towels, drinks, thermometer, chai, diapers, net-feeding, bedding travel, disinfectants, amongst other things.

Previously HOFOWEM coordinator, Mrs. Adeleke thanked Ms Oyefunke Ambode to be a constant source of goodness against women and children in the state, adding that the program is too much help from many initiatives of women and children.
