SACRAMENTO - The well-being of African-American women have a central place on Saturday 6 August that meet local leaders to present their first conference of Health and Welfare black women.
Life Promotion Organisation, in collaboration with the Health Organization Juliete that event in the building UC Davis Education hosts, in Sacramento, 4810 X Street 9: 00-15h00 organizers have collected a healthier life around the slogan "Healthy Me Healthy We! ! "and give the purpose of the conference, the inequalities focused on reducing the health, affecting disproportionately black women by increasing awareness of mental and physical health. The conference will obtain educate participants about the importance of a healthy lifestyle upright.
The event is a main license discourse clinical social workers Alondra Thompson, whose message is "Life in our truth." Mrs Thompson will discuss the mental illnesses that affect black women and provide resources, such as overcome.
Sponsors include African American Faculty and the Association of University of California at Davis staff, Community Cares Clinic, Eta Beta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Sacramento Co-Op and VSP. There are workshops on financial health, its reproductive and mental, as well as cooking demonstrations and yoga. The UC Davis MIND Institute presented a workshop on the development of disease among African Americans.
