They do not usually know much about our kidneys - that is, until something happens, and suffer a painful infection, or to see a for sale on eBay. But maintaining healthy kidneys have a major impact on our quality of life.

According to the National Kidney Foundation, 26 million Americans suffer from kidney disease, and most do not even know. While heredity plays an important role in the likelihood of developing kidney disease, most cases can be prevented through changes in lifestyle.

It takes a lot to maintain the functioning of our body and to create our internal systems much waste. The kidneys are responsible for filtering waste from the blood and the tube from the body through urine. If the kidneys do not function correctly, collect waste and toxic disorders and diseases occur.

If you want to maintain healthy kidneys, you try to make your work easier by including some of these healthy habits.

Drink water

Do not abuse drugs without prescription

"When the kidneys are not functioning properly, collect drugs and cause injury to the user can," said the National Kidney Foundation. "It is important to get tested your kidneys and work with your doctor to make adjustments to your drug plan, such as changes in dosage or replacement."

The National Kidney Foundation has also warned against excessive use of over-the-counter pain relievers and antacids. It was that "as many as 3 to 5 percent of new cases of chronic renal failure reported each year can be caused by excessive use of these analgesics. Once this kidney disease is because the continued use of the drug problem makes it worse."
