The Redbridge shape our future event took place on Saturday in the library Redbridge Central.
A woman living with HIV has to seek a new awareness event praised about her condition.
Janet, not her real name, was one of dozens who attended Redbridge Central Library Saturday (24 September), event for women's health, the. From the main HIV charity Terrence Higgins Trust
The shaping our future event gave women in the city the opportunity to discuss issues such as domestic violence, female genital mutilation (FGM), sexual and mental health.
Janet said: "I've been living with HIV for a long time and it is good to be part of an event that is for the well-being of women, not only the virus.
"It will definitely be in the next."
Vernal Scott, Terrence Higgins Trust, said: "It was great women of all different communities and discussions on issues to see which are important to them.
"We are working hard to build strong relationships in Redbridge and such events are an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of what we do and how we can help."
